Job Description:

The Assistant Procurement Manager supports the Director of Procurement in executing centralized procurement strategies and overseeing day-to-day sourcing and purchasing operations across the organization. This role leads to sourcing activities, supplier negotiation, and contract management to ensure cost efficiency, operational effectiveness, and compliance with corporate procurement policies. This position also requires strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze procurement spending, supplier performance and price variance to support data-driven procurement strategies and management decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Procurement in developing and executing the annual procurement strategy and sourcing plans in accordance with the policies and goals of the company.
  • Assist the Director of Procurement in developing centralized sourcing strategies and initiatives across all business units and properties
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFQ/RFP preparation, new supplier registration, supplier evaluation, commercial analysis and contract negotiation
  • Analyze procurement spending, market pricing trends, and supplier risk to ensure price competitiveness and achieve cost-saving targets
  • Review and execute purchase requisitions/purchase orders, coordinating with departments to ensure they meet operational needs and budget requirements
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors, and follow up orders/contract orders according to purchase requisitions/requests with approved vendors.
  • Monitor contract compliance and renewal timelines, flagging risks and renegotiation opportunities to the Director of Procurement.
  • Prepare procurement reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing spending, savings, and supplier performance for management review.
  • Identify opportunities for sustainable and responsible sourcing in line with the company’s ESG commitments.
  • Ensure procurement processes and documentation comply with corporate governance, audit, and regulatory requirements; act as deputy to the Director of Procurement on assigned matters as needed, and perform other tasks as assigned by the superiors.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, and experience in the hospitality industry would bean advantage
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and contract management
  • Positive attitude with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High integrity and ethical standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, especially Excel
  • Having knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus
