Location: SAii Laguna Phuket

Job Description:

  • Responsible for developing new and existing business from the domestic clients, agents, schools and government areas;
  • Pre-qualify and target assigned accounts, utilizing the hotel’s domestic database and develop appropriate and effective sales solicitation strategies and action plan to increase hotel’s market share;
  • To remain in close contact with all existing and future business, whether already booked or in the negotiation stage;
  • Scheduling effective sales calls and appointments within assigned areas;
  • Investigate new market segments and opportunities for new business;
  • To plan and conduct site inspections/familiarization trips at the hotel;
  • To act as a liaison with all clients, to encourage business into the hotel;
  • Quote and negotiate prices and follow up with customers within assigned area and established parameters;
  • To plan and carry out presentations on behalf of the hotel;
  • To entertain clients in line with company policy;
  • When required, complete tracking and other reports, detailing activities and financial results;
  • To lead all MICE and group functions at the hotel, support operations team as a group coordinator and issue BEO and group instructions to all related departments;
  • If required, organize and conduct communication meetings with all departments involved in group handling: BEO meetings, pre-function/event meeting, group coordination meeting, etc.
  • Conduct regular market surveys and competitor research;
  • Researches and analyses new products, pricing and services of competition.

Essential Job Skills

  • It is vital to have excellent communication skills, be personable and approachable, able to work with limited supervision in a very dynamic environment
  • The incumbent needs to have pre-opening experience and in depth current knowledge of the Thai Market (Phuket experience is a must)
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English, Thai and other language skills are desirable but not essential

Desirable Job Skills

  • The incumbent needs to have pre-opening experience and in depth current knowledge of the Thai Market (Phuket experience is a must)
  • Preferable to have been involved in hotel/resort openings
  • Wants to enjoy work in a family type environment
  • Intimately familiar with the key tour operator partners in Bangkok and an existing contact base of MICE planners and corporate meeting planners
  • Knowledgeable with the Phuket market with agents; inbound operators and wholesalers.

Education & Experience:
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 3 years’ experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area

OR

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years’ experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
Salary range: 45,000-50,000 THB
