Corporate Purchasing Manager

Job Description:
The Corporate Purchasing Manager oversees procurement activities for the company’s self-managed properties and headquarters, ensuring efficiency, compliance with regulations, and alignment with corporate governance principles applicable to SET listed companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain procurement strategies, standards, and execution plans to achieve corporate goals.
- Conduct group volume bidding and negotiate agreements for strategic products and services.
- Collaborate with Property General Managers, Heads of Finance, and Heads of Purchasing to align procurement strategies with property-specific needs.
- Build long-term partnerships with suppliers, contractors, and outsourced service providers to improve cost efficiency, meet legislative requirements, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure timely processing of purchase requisitions and recommend procurement methods.
- Engage with vendors and suppliers (local, regional, and international) to gather product/service information, obtain quotations, and evaluate estimated costs
- Verify tender specifications and performance standards in collaboration with program and operations teams to ensure alignment with policies and donor requirements.
- Coordinate procurement selection meetings to assess tender applications based on technical specifications, market pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Generate purchase orders, secure required approvals, and forward procurement documents to the Operations Finance Department for payment processing.
- Monitor supplier performance, track deliveries, and promptly resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Facilitate customs exemptions for international procurements, where appropriate.
- Establish, cultivate, and oversee proficient procurement teams at headquarters and across company properties to advance short-term, medium-term, and long-term corporate objectives.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in procurement tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong command of English (speaking, writing, listening, and reading).
- Experience in hotel purchasing preferred.
- Assertive with strong negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
