Assistant Manager – Corporate IT

Location: BANGKOK

Job Description:

Assistant Manager – Corporate IT to organize, coordinate, and manage SHR’s IT infrastructure. Determining SHR’s IT requirements and security infrastructure in place to meet the organization’s information systems requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to users/business units with computer or software application problems
  • Utilizing new technologies to identify and implement strategies for boosting workplace productivity and efficiency
  • Monitoring employee/business unit computer use to ensure compliance with company policies regarding information technology usage and software installation.
  • Monitoring backups to protect data from computer failures and natural disasters
  • Supporting an organization’s computer systems with information technology, including hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
  • Working with management to develop a plan for implementing new technologies to improve the organization’s operations
  • Coordinating with other business units to ensure they are utilizing the most advanced technological tools.
  • Ensure that the company’s policies comply with the PDPA, the Computer-Related Crime Act, the Copyright and Patents Act, and any applicable government regulations.
  • Evaluate the current data protection framework in order to identify areas of non-compliance or partial compliance and resolve any problems that are discovered.
  • Advising the employee or business unit on all data protection-related matters

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in IT management, preferably in the hotel industry.
  • Experience with hotel software like Oracle hospitality product, Infor etc.
  • Current technical skills and technological knowledge.
  • General knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies and trends, such as networks, databases, business applications, and security infrastructure.
  • Abilities to plan and develop contingency plans as required.
  • Abilities for travel Up Country.
